A singer has become a global sensation after delivering what is being hailed as the greatest TV audition since Susan Boyle.
Loren Allred received the coveted golden buzzer, which sends someone straight through to the semi-finals, on Britain’s Got Talent this week.

The 32-year-old belted out the powerful track Never Enough from The Greatest Showman to impress Simon Cowell and his fellow judges.
However in a shock twist, she revealed that she is actually the voice behind the platinum-selling song that was made famous in the hit movie.
Loren does not feature in the film, with actress Rebecca Ferguson playing the role of musician Jenny Lind and miming the balled in the flick.
“I was incredibly nervous, a show like this is kind of make it or break it and I wasn’t sure what was going to happen,” Loren told Sunrise.
The American said that while she had been signed to a music label in the past, she was “working at a coffee shop as a barista and taking a bus to sing at wedding gigs” prior to her audition.
This led to some fans calling out the show for featuring an acclaimed singer – but she’s also been widely supported by others.
“I’ve actually been quite surprised at what people have been saying because for me, yes I’ve been involved in the music industry for a long time, but it’s been a lot of hard times,” she said.
“I feel like Britain’s Got Talent was kind of this huge platform that would make sure I wouldn’t regret putting myself out there and putting a face to the song that everyone knows and loves.”
In a statement, producers of the show said Loren is “well-deserving of the opportunity” to compete.
“It’s fantastic that Loren is now able to step out and stand in her own right to be the face, and not just the voice, of one of the most well-known tracks of all time,” they said.
“Loren is not a household name, and she deserves her spot on the BGT stage.”
Britain’s Got Talent continues on Wednesday night on Seven and 7plus.
