Urgent: Häagen-Dazs ice cream recalled over chemical contamination fears


A popular ice cream product has been recalled from selected retailers over chemical contamination concerns.

General Mills Australia is recalling Häagen-Dazs Vanilla 457ml and Häagen-Dazs Classic Collection Mini Cups 4 x 95mL due to chemical (ethylene oxide) contamination.

The recall affects products with Best Before date from 4/7/2022 up to and including 21/7/2023.

The Vanilla 457mL has been available for sale at Coles, Woolworths and independent retailers including IGA nationally.

The Classic Collection Mini Cups 4 x 95mL has been available for sale at Coles nationally.

Food products containing ethylene oxide may cause illness if consumed.

General Mills Australia is recalling Häagen-Dazs Vanilla 457ml and Häagen-Dazs Classic Collection Mini Cups 4 x 95mL Credit: Food Standards Australia New Zealand

Consumers should not eat this product and should return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
